I don't have a TV but this is the first time since Bling Empire that I seriously feel like I'm missing out. I will have to see whether I can watch it online somewhere.
Ok so I was super traumatized by Tiger King and someone told me that the chimp show is Tiger king only ....worse, lol. But I'll probably break down and watch. I will say that I thought narrator was excellent for All the Colors of the Dark. Parts of the ending disappointed me (I preferred the assumed narrative about one of the characters that was debunked at the end). Eduardo Ballerini is one of my go-to's though so maybe I'm used to his style. Listening to God of the Woods now and that's a narrator I'm not sure I like (vocal fry makes my back teeth hurt) but the story has me riveted so I'm powering through. Have a great weekend and thanks for the recs! Liz
I do think Chimp Crazy is far more traumatic than Tiger King. Same director, but lots more subterfuge and genuine trauma/disaster. I probably should have led with a trigger warning.
Interesting that you loved that narrator! I felt like he read all the sentences with this weird dramatic finish that I didn't like. But yeah I could see how the God of the Woods narrator could get annoying. I should also probably mention that I listen on 1.5 speed and that totally changes the quality of their voices. Ha!

It’s a wild ride.
Rufi Thorpe’s Margo’s Got Money Troubles! Only Fans, motherhood, daughterhood, estimated taxes, oh my! It’s fun.
I’d read a cereal box if you told me to, Kelly Turner. Buying this!!
The cereal boxes I have read. . .
How are we married and I've never heard of Chimp Crazy? What kind of double life do you lead?
See above: “My husband went fly fishing in Montana for a week…”
I just read Milk Fed...very divisive but I loved it! I have God of the Woods on my TBR!
Mmmm "darkly hilarious" is right up my alley.
